March 28, 2019 employee of the Department of excursions of the Bulgarian Museum-reserve Galimullina N. R. in the complex “Memorial sign in honor of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgars in 922”, in the “Museum of the Koran”, for students from the city of Tyumen held an informative lesson “The oldest poems”. Guests of the Museum-reserve got acquainted with the legendary work of the Tatar people “the Tale of Yusuf” and learned about the founder of the Bulgarian poetry Kul Gali, who stood at the origins of the Turkic-language poetry of the Volga region and Central Asia.
Since its inception, the poem Kul Gali was and remains a reference book of Bulgars and their descendants – the Tatars. This work is so deeply penetrated into the spiritual world of the Tatar people, which became the most popular work among medieval creations. The poem was close to the farmer and goldsmith, the gray-haired old man and the mother, who was cradling the baby in the silence of the night, the young man and the girl, who was burning in the fire of love. Interest in the poem grew with each century, its motives gradually penetrated into folklore and Ethnography, literature and musical culture of the Tatar people. Manuscripts people kept as a Shrine, considering it a relic of ancestors. His work Kul Gali wrote in the year 1233 at the Quranic story. 12 the Surah (Chapter) of the Quran, called Yusuf, is dedicated to the history of Yusuf. In the Qur’an it is called the best of stories, describes the vicissitudes of human life and therefore addressed to men and women of all walks of life and vividly reflects all aspects of life and its spiritual aspects.
Students were recited and individual verses of this Sura, and selected verses of the poem in the translation of a major scientist-Turkologist, poet, linguist Sergei Nikolaevich Ivanov. Students were asked to compare lines from the poem and individual verses from the Koran used by the medieval poet Kul Gali for his work.
The event, which was very interesting for children, ended with a tour of the Museum, where the children got acquainted with the exposition and ancient manuscripts of the poem.
