28 March 2019 by the methodologist of Department Museum and educational activities BGIAMZ Sagirova L. S., for students of group No. 7416 “room service” COLLEDGE “Spassky College industry technology” was conducted informative, interactive event “Boz the Ozat” – “Farewell to ice.”
Holiday “Boz the Ozat” symbolizes the awakening of nature – the end of winter, the beginning of the break-up of ice on rivers.
Students learned that according to the old tradition Tatar settlements were located on the banks of rivers. Therefore, the first holiday – “spring celebration” for the Tatars, associated with the ice drift.
In the old days to watch the ice drift on the river Bank out all the inhabitants – from the elderly to children. The youth was dressed up with accordion players. On floating ice floes they laid out and lit straw, and in the spring twilight these floating torches could be seen far away, and in the Wake of them songs were carried. Students gladly participated in the competition of tongue twisters, in the competition “Continue the song” in the game “Jump from ice floe to ice floe”, both alone and in pairs. So, young people got acquainted with one more national tradition.
