At the lesson the children learned the history of this ancient holiday.
Nauryz is a holiday of spring, a holiday of new year for many people. The traditions of celebrating this day go back centuries, as Nauryz is a pagan holiday that appeared long before the formation of the main world religions. According to scientists, Nauryz holiday is several thousand years old. Nauryz is a holiday of renewal and the new year according to the solar calendar. It is believed that on this day nature wakes up, good and grace descends to the earth, and evil spirits can not penetrate into the dwelling of people. Nauryz is a bright and cheerful holiday.
What day is celebrated Nauryz, is directly related to the movement of the sun in the sky during the year. Nauryz falls on the day of the vernal equinox, when the day becomes, in duration, approximately equal to the night. The word “Nauryz “is formed from two ancient Iranian bases:” know “– new and” rose ” – day.
