4 March 2019 the staff of the Museum of Bolgar civilization Sharifullina T. G, T. P. Kamaeva and V. A. Salnikov held the infotainment event “Hello, Carnival!”for pensioners of the veteran organization of administration of the Spassky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan. The veterans were introduced to the expositions “City on the river” and “Bulgarian tea party”, where they were presented with photos, documents and objects testifying to the life of the County town of Spassk. And in the exhibition “Bulgarian tea party” guests saw a unique collection of samovars, learned about the birthplace of tea, tea traditions and ceremonies of the peoples of the world, the Volga region and the secrets of making this ancient drink. Then, the guests at the Museum of Bulgarian civilization got acquainted with the history of the national holiday “Maslenitsa”, its rituals, symbols, names of each day, took an active part in solving comic “pancake” quizzes. The event ended with tea with pancakes, honey and jam.
