On February 27, 2019, G. K. Khramova, researcher of the excursion Department of the Bulgarian Museum-reserve, gave a lecture on “the Great Bulgarian-UNESCO world cultural heritage site” for the 4th grade students of the Bulgarian sanatorium boarding school.
In 2010, the implementation of the Complex project “Cultural heritage – island-town of Sviyazhsk and Ancient Bolgar” began, in which great importance is given to the creation of Museum and tourist infrastructure. During this time, built three important museums – the Museum of Bolgar civilization, Memorial sign in honor of the adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgars in 922, the Museum “House doctor”; built a unique exhibition “the History of assumption Church” in the architectural monument of the XVIII century On the street Nazarov museumified 4 houses on local history topics. Another object that attracts the attention of visitors with its unique architecture and the surrounding landscape, was the complex “White mosque”. Since 2016, there is a new tourist pier, which allows you to take ships of different classes.
And the main event was the inclusion in 2014 of the Bulgarian historical and archaeological complex in the list of UNESCO world heritage sites. This was a recognition of the importance of the city of Bolgar at the International level, which affected the growth of the Museum-reserve attendance. The dynamics of attendance growth is the result of the active work of the Republican Fund for the Revival of monuments of history and culture of the Republic of Tatarstan to create a tourist brand “Great Bolgar”.
The children listened attentively to the lecture and watched the presentation, then talked animatedly and asked a lot of questions.
At the end of the lecture it was concluded that the staff of the Bulgarian Museum-reserve successfully works to preserve the historical and cultural heritage of the city of Bulgaria and its promotion.
