On February 15, 2019, the employee of the Department of excursions of the Bulgarian Museum-reserve Abdrakhmanov A. R. conducted an information lesson” Roads of the Afghan war”, dedicated to the Memorable date of the memory Of the Russians who performed their duty outside the Fatherland. On this day, February 15, 1989, Soviet troops were completely withdrawn from Afghanistan.
During the lesson, students received information about what is the Afghan war and what were its causes, and also learned what roads Afghanistan moved our soldiers, in what hot spots of the country they fought, freeing the land from the armed opposition of the Mujahideen. Students read poems and listened to songs dedicated to the heroes who died in this war, and watched a video about one of the cities of Afghanistan – Kandahar, where our soldiers also sacrificed their lives. At the end of the lesson the children honored the memory of those killed in the Afghan war with a minute of silence.
