Charity is a word of two components “good”and” I create”. Man himself is the Creator of his destiny and that will create around him, then it will surround him all his life. The Bulgarian Museum-reserve, as a Keeper of historical and cultural heritage, carefully preserves and protects not only the material values of our history and culture, but also spiritual ones. The history of our ancestors shows how valuable and important charity is for the preservation of our national, cultural and spiritual identity. Bright and fruitful charitable activities of many commercial organizations and individuals in the implementation of the complex project “Cultural heritage – island-town of Sviyazhsk and Ancient Bolgar” are an excellent example of creation for the benefit of us.
27 November 2018 Bulgarian reserve Museum once again joined the International day of charity – #Decrypting. The guys in the Museum” house of the healer ” acquainted with the history of the Volga-Bulgarian medicine, which used drugs and tools ancient healers. Children learned about the baths of the ancient city of Bolgar, as one of the main elements of the tradition of preservation and promotion of health. Visiting the Museum “Bulgarian tea” students learned about the healing properties of tea, about what herbs used to brew this useful drink. The culmination of the program was a master class on cooking one of the oldest dishes of Tatar cuisine “Bal-may”. The children saw how the Volga Bulgarians, the ancestors of the modern Volga Tatars prepared this dish a thousand years ago, learned its useful properties, traditions of serving and enjoyed it with fragrant Bulgarian tea.
