October 10, 2018 employees of the Department of excursions Khramova G. K., Prokofiev G. R., Glavnova V. N. held an interactive information event “we always honor the Elderly”, dedicated to the International day of older people.
The international day of older persons has been celebrated since 1 October 1991. It was proclaimed at the 45th session of the UN General Assembly under the name international day of the elderly. This holiday does not pass by the pensioners of the Bulgarian Museum-reserve, they are annually invited to the Museum on excursions, acquaint with innovations.
The event was held in the form of a meeting-tea party with elements of interviews with employees of the Bulgarian Museum-reserve, who are on a well-deserved vacation. The participants of the meeting in a warm and friendly atmosphere with pleasure recalled their work in the Museum, as well as shared their many years of experience and knowledge. At the end of the event, the staff of the Department conducted a tour for the guests of the Bulgarian settlement, as well as introduced them to the new opened objects: The Museum “Nobility of the Spassky district”, the Museum “City on the river”, the Museum of Abdullah Alish, the Museum “Bulgarian tea party”. The new museums aroused great interest, the guests listened attentively to the guide, asked many questions. Such events are a good way to Express respect and gratitude to people of Mature age. Guests received a lot of positive emotions and bright photos.
