Conference in Pyatigorsk.

On September 20-25, 2018, the VIII international conference dedicated to the memory of Fedorov-Davydov “Dialogue of urban and steppe cultures in the Eurasian space”was held in Pyatigorsk. A significant part of the conference was devoted to the preservation and study of Bolgar and the 80th anniversary of the Bulgarian archaeological expedition.
Long-term excavations have given a rich rich rich material for the study of Bolgar, with emphasis on modern research methods without destroying the cultural layer. Report Mukhametshin I. D. “District of Bolgar” was devoted to the aspects of the study of complexes of monuments of The Golden Horde gravitating to urban centers. Report Mukhametshin D. G. “Coins from the excavation OF cxxix Bulgarian settlement” is dedicated to the monetary circulation in the city market.
A cultural program was prepared for the participants of the conference: a Visit to the Pyatigorsk Museum, the ancient city of Majara, a unique open-air Museum of stone antiquities. The Museum of stone antiquities introduces visitors to the most ancient artifacts and later examples of stone architecture. Familiarization with the ancient Majar and familiarization with the Museum of local lore in the village of Praskoveya gave a huge emotional and informational charge for the participants of the conference.The conference resulted in the publication of the collection “Archeology of Eurasian steppes”.
