White Mosque
The White Mosque is an architectural pearl of the modern Bolgar built within the framework of the complex programme ‘Cultural Heritage – Island-Town of Sviyazhsk and Ancient Bolgar’. The complex of the mosque also includes the residence for spiritual leaders of Islam and a madrassa for teaching the basics of Islam. The White Mosque is one of the most important religious buildings of the Republic of Tatarstan, as the major festive prayers as well as religious conferences and events are held here.
